Decide from the otuset if you want a chrome, stainless-steel or brass finish and use it consitently throughout. Tiles can be bought in all styles from marble to stome efffects to traditional smooth designs and mosaics. Mix them together but by careful not to get too garish. Subdued colours with bright highlights are a good compromise. Don't neglect the mirrors and lighting. There are many alternatives including spot lights, floor lights and strip lighting built into the wall and around the mirrors. If your bahroom suite is round or square in style, choose round or square mirrors to match.
